Made in the late 90s when making electronic music was still an awkward hybrid of racks of hardware gear, expensive interface boxes and primitive 16 bit PC computer "DAW"s, 852 is a convergence of influences from Hip-hop, Ambient, funk, and left-fied things like seemingly Kraftwerk's Electric Cafe. Although I don't exactly remember right now (2023).

Adb AX88 interface, Yamaha DS2416 soundcard (with dual Motorola DSP 56001 sound processing chips, woo), minimally spec'd E-Mu ESI-32, Clavia Nord Lead2, and not much else!
